Job Title: Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic

D & N Metals Co. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and order parts and maintain inventory to ensure timely repairs.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up-to-date, including test results and repair records.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as required to ensure the continued operation of our equipment.
  • Service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems.
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 5 years or more, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical demands: Physically demanding, with regular lifting of heavy loads (up to 23 kg/50 lbs).
  • Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity are essential.
  • Overtime may be required to meet maintenance schedules.

  • Client-focused and dependable, with excellent judgement and teamwork skills.

  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 60 hours per week.
