About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Montreal. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for securing event contracts, promoting our catering services, and ensuring seamless execution of events. Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively solicit new business opportunities and respond to client inquiries to confirm profitable events and meet quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct site visits with potential clients to showcase our facilities and services, highlighting the unique benefits of hosting events at Four Seasons Hotel Montreal.
- Finalize event requirements, ensuring maximum revenue potential through effective communication and up-selling, while maintaining Four Seasons standards.
- Coordinate all aspects of event execution, including logistics, audio-visual needs, and special requests, to ensure flawless delivery.
- Communicate regularly with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless execution and exceed client expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to review function spaces, ensure efficient use of resources, and optimize event execution.
- Welcome clients on the day of the event, monitor progress, and ensure their satisfaction.
- Schedule post-event meetings with clients to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- College diploma in hotel management, administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of event planning, catering, and sales principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
