Job Summary

The College of New Caledonia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Campus Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our campus, coordinating administrative functions, and fostering a positive and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management: Provide day-to-day supervision of assigned campus staff, working collaboratively with leaders and managers in other college departments to provide consistent direction on work functions, processes, and standards.
  2. Team Development: Develop a productive, inclusive, and collaborative Community Campus team, including employees who may report to different supervisors.
  3. Campus Operations: Foster communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all departments across the college to ensure the campus operates effectively.
  4. Community Engagement: Liaise with and maintain relationships with Indigenous Rights Holders, the local community, municipal and regional governments, educational and economic partners, and local employers to develop beneficial relationships and strategic partnerships.
  5. Event Management: Collaborate with relevant college departments to manage and coordinate campus events.
  6. Financial Management: Responsible for the financial management of the assigned Community Campus, including operational and project budgets as well as oversight of financial transactions within alignment of college financial directions.
  7. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with academic schools and the Office of the Registrar to produce academic timetables for the campus as per College policy and procedures.
  8. Health and Safety: Ensure College employees are familiar with the relevant health and safety regulations and receive proper instruction in safe work practices.
  9. Committee Participation: Participate on assigned or relevant committees as required by the College.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (Education or Business Administration preferred).
  2. Experience: Five (5) years related operational management and/or supervisory experience.
  3. Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to motivate and engage a community through inclusive practices; demonstrated high-quality problem-solving skills in complex situations; and a broad understanding of program and service accountability framework.
  4. Aboriginal Knowledge: Knowledge and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and history within communities, with proven leadership in engaging Aboriginal communities.
  5. Project Management: Experience in managing projects and working with industry, business, and/or community partners in education/training.
  6. Technology: Proficient in appropriate technological applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and database construction.
