Position Overview

The Royal Hotel Chilliwack is seeking a dedicated Event Planner to manage and execute various events with precision and creativity.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in event planning or related fields
Work Environment
  • Willingness to relocate as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and market conference and meeting services, as well as special events
  • Evaluate and select venues for events
  • Design and implement marketing and communication strategies
  • Develop media plans and manage public relations efforts
  • Prepare, present, and oversee event budgets
  • Review proposals and negotiate pricing
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of conferences and meetings, ensuring attention to detail
  • Manage media services and event logistics
  • Organize set-ups, staging, seating arrangements, and communication systems for events
  • Confirm and coordinate speakers for events
  • Arrange accommodations and transportation for attendees
  • Research and design innovative programs for special events
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of 3-4 individuals
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint
