Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver patient meals, including meal selection, assembly, and delivery
  • Operate ware washing machines and clean work areas and equipment
  • Sort and wrap cutlery, store food, paper, and cleaning supplies
  • Prepare cold food, including sandwiches, salads, and desserts
  • Issue frozen, refrigerated, and dry food supplies according to computer requisitions
  • Visit patients for meal selection using a computerized device

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Public Health Food Handler's Certificate, mandatory
  • Strong customer service background and prior work experience in institutional food service an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset

This is a full-time permanent position with 8-hour shifts, including 2 out of 3 weekends at the NYGH Finch Site located at 555 Finch Avenue West. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package, including pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan.
