Key Responsibilities:

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for driving business growth and development in their assigned region. This will involve identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as mentoring and coaching a team of sales professionals to achieve sales results.

Key Objectives:

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to drive sales growth in the region.
  • Mentor and coach a team of sales professionals to achieve sales results.
  • Ensure that the commercial sales business plan is aligned with regional strategies and objectives.
  • Represent the commercial business unit by implementing the trade activity calendar for their team to exploit business opportunities and strengthen the brand position in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-7 or more years of related work experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement.
  • Knowledge of the terms, concepts and practices of the marketing and sales environment, to include but not limited to product development and manufacturing procedures, distribution, customer service and basic accounting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Already having a thorough knowledge of Mohawk products, distribution options, sales strategies, and/or programs is always a plus.
  • Skillfully negotiating in tough situations with both internal and external groups.
