We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sales Representative to join our team at P.D. McLaren Limited. As an Industrial Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting sales to existing clients, identifying and soliciting potential clients, and assessing client needs to recommend appropriate goods or services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote sales to existing clients and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Assess client needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
  • Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of goods or services
  • Deliver sales presentations and negotiate contracts
  • Represent companies that export and import products or services to and from foreign countries
  • Conduct sales transactions and prepare sales contracts
  • Use sales forecasting software to analyze market trends and customer needs
  • Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client needs
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
  • Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors, and market conditions
  • Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services

Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in sales or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
