Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing inventory management processes for our culinary operations. This position involves utilizing the inventory control software, Optimum Control, and the point-of-sale system, Squirrel, to ensure precise tracking and management of food and beverage inventories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and training for culinary teams on the use of Optimum Control and Squirrel systems.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory reports and assist in identifying discrepancies.
  • Oversee end-of-month inventory counts, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Analyze inventory usage and variances, reporting significant findings to management.
  • Maintain the Optimum Control database, ensuring accuracy in item, recipe, and vendor information.
  • Collaborate with culinary staff to optimize recipe units of measure and improve operational efficiency.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly inventory levels, providing insights for cost control measures.
  • Assist in menu development by providing accurate yield calculations and cost assessments.
  • Deliver training sessions for new staff on inventory management systems.
  • Foster strong relationships with all food and beverage departments to enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, with culinary education preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with inventory management systems.
  • Food Safe certification and Serving It Right certification are required.
