**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support, training, and guidance to our culinary operations team in managing inventory control software and point-of-sale systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support food and beverage operations in managing inventory control software and point-of-sale systems
  • Run and audit inventory reports, and report to the F&B team as needed
  • Assist with auditing inventory variance reports and identifying areas for improvement
  • Oversee end-of-month inventory counts, ensuring physical counts are performed according to established procedures
  • Update inventory and analyze usage variances, reporting major variances to the F&B Director, F&B Manager, Executive Chef, and Custodian of Assets
  • Hold the Custodian of Assets accountable for measures to improve identified variances and conduct inventory spot checks as required
  • Maintain the inventory database, including item, recipe, and vendor maintenance
  • Update items for more efficient recipe units of measure, as needed
  • Design efficient means of organization within the inventory control system to maximize benefits of sales and menu engineering reporting
  • Ensure sales mix from POS is updated and revenue captures outside of single recipes are tracked by the food and beverage operations
  • Report on daily, weekly, and monthly inventory as required to resolve variance discrepancies
  • Verify and test recipes in the inventory control system for accuracy of weights and measures, correct items being used, and factors that may impact a recipe being complete or costed accurately
  • Verify that the point-of-sale system generates the expected result in the database by auditing POS ID values and names to ensure accuracy of sales mix imports to the inventory control system
  • Assist Sous Chefs with menu development, weights and measures, and yield calculations, including building recipes and advising on pricing based on financial requirements
  • Calculate theoretical and actual cost of goods sold, identify deficiencies in cost control measures, and communicate to the appropriate Custodian of Assets
  • Provide training to new F&B users and retraining as required, using established inventory control module training materials
  • Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all food and beverage departments
  • Track and analyze consumption rates and inventory levels, identify and recommend alternative products and services to reduce cost, add value, and/or increase overall efficiency
  • Maintain the buffet bid list monthly and identify potential products to reduce costs
  • Review and report on waste logs as required
  • Review sales mixes and waste reporting for par level stock review and report to food and beverage operations recipe costs with negative impacts on financial goals
  • Audit all installed databases periodically for day-to-day usage and database integrity, and identify any weaknesses or shortfalls to be corrected
  • Identify technical issues negatively impacting inventory control operations and correct them for all sites, escalating to the regional inventory control lead, IT, or Tracrite as appropriate
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all business units

**Requirements:**

  • 2-3 years of food and beverage experience, culinary education such as ITA red seal or equivalent
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Experience with inventory control software and point-of-sale systems
  • Food Safe - Level 1
  • Serving it right
