Join XL CATLIN as a Senior Broker Relationship Manager, where you will spearhead the expansion and profitability of our portfolios throughout the Americas by cultivating strong partnerships with key brokers, significant clients, and Underwriting Teams. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the insurance sector, including expertise in various insurance products, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Broker Engagement:

  • Oversee relationships with essential brokers in conjunction with the Chief Underwriting Officers for Large Commercial and Middle Market in Canada, which includes:
  • Analyzing and leveraging data to strengthen ties with distribution partners across Canada.
  • Ensuring brokers are well-versed in the business appetite of different lines and identifying opportunities for cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Guaranteeing that XL CATLIN receives all agreed-upon services, data, and support from brokers.
  • Creating and executing initiatives that will enhance trading relationships and improve portfolio profitability.

Client Engagement:

  • Manage relationships with key clients by:
  • Taking the lead and serving as the primary contact for a fully integrated business across the XL Group.
  • Communicating and demonstrating XL CATLIN's value beyond the policy, contributing to sustainable and profitable growth over the long term.
  • Ensuring an exceptional experience in interactions with One XL.

Product Engagement:

  • Collaborate across all XL CATLIN product lines to influence:
  • A culture that prioritizes clients.
  • A mindset that is focused, agile, and quick to resolve challenges collaboratively.
  • Growth in the Alternative Risk/Transfer Programs/Delegated Underwriting Authorities domain.

You will report to the Head of Client and Distribution, Canada.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building and sustaining relationships with strategic partners.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively and apply insights accordingly.
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple lines of insurance products, underwriting processes, and industry trends.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in alternative risk transfer, delegated authorities & programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
