Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 1594625 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members who prepare and portion food.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and management.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare food order summaries for the chef.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Physical Demands
    • Standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions

30 to 40 hours per week, permanent position.
