About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate to join our Strategy and Business Transformation team within the Office of the COO. As a key member of our team, you will provide subject matter expertise in the design, development, management, and implementation of assigned projects from business case development through execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Capital Markets and Enterprise goals, providing strategic input and making recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of Capital Markets' strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Influence and negotiate to achieve Capital Markets objectives, ensuring solutions are aligned with business and enterprise goals.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans, breaking down complex problems and analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives within the group and across BMO, partnering with various internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Develop and implement solutions that drive business results, collaborating with team members to align key performance indicators with forecasts and plans.
  • Identify enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation, raising issues with stakeholders and offering solutions to resolve issues or risks that jeopardize delivery.
Requirements
  • Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good understanding of Capital Markets products, client types, and regulatory considerations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and handle non-routine situations, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
