Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the provision of patient care in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Utilize the Standards of Nursing Practice and the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Provide health education to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development of corrective actions to ensure patient and staff safety, while adhering to relevant legislation, organizational, and departmental regulations, standards, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate of competency in Ontario.
  • Current ACLS competency, current within the last two years.
  • Current PALS competency, current within the last two years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated competencies related to IV Therapy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in the management of patient care in the emergency department.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education, with a focus on courses and conferences related to emergency care.
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment required for patient care.
  • Ability to maintain successful working relationships and interact with people in a professional, responsible, and reassuring manner.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated behavior consistent with the Hospital's Mission, Vision, Values, and iCcare Way.
