Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize the Standards of Nursing Practice and the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest level of clinical competence.
  • Patient Education: Provide comprehensive health teaching to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to manage their health effectively.
  • Quality and Safety: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Competencies: Possess a Certificate of Competency in Ontario and current ACLS and PALS competencies.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of Emergency nursing experience or 3 years of nursing experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated competencies in IV Therapy, computer skills, and clinical competency in patient care management. Ability to maintain successful working relationships, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team.
