Job Title: Support Worker - Youth Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Wenson Support Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to at-risk youth in a group home setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group support to clients, including preparing reports, conducting social research, and assessing client needs. You will also be required to maintain program statistics, liaise with other social services agencies, and provide mentoring and counseling services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to clients, including preparing reports and conducting social research
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized support plans
  • Maintain program statistics and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Provide mentoring and counseling services to clients
  • Conduct home visits and provide support to clients in their homes
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, psychology, education)
  • 1-2 years of experience working with at-risk youth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
