About the Role

Carmacks Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Paving Foreman/Woman to join our team in the road construction industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the paving and road maintenance operations, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth project execution, including coordinating work activities with other project supervisors or managers.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that workers are aware of and comply with these regulations.
  • Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions, as needed.
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training to ensure that workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Performing Duties: Perform the same duties as workers supervised, as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong understanding of the road construction industry and its practices is essential.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the road construction industry.
  • Physical Demands: The job requires physical demands, including handling heavy loads, working in dusty conditions, and being outdoors for extended periods.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly, with travel expenses paid by the employer.
