About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Property Claims Adjuster** to join our team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for handling first-party property claims of moderate complexity, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims, and providing excellent customer service to our policyholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of property claims, including field inspections and damage assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient resolution of claims.
  • Communicate with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, including documentation and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as underwriting and risk management, to ensure seamless claims handling and minimize losses.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices in claims handling.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in property claims handling or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to claim sites as needed.
