We are seeking a highly skilled Property Claims Adjuster to join our team at Curo Claims Services Inc. As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling property insurance claims from initial contact to resolution. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service while ensuring that claims are processed efficiently and fairly.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and assess property damage claims, gathering information from insured members, civil authorities, police, witnesses, and other insurers.
- Review and analyze policy coverage, contractual agreements, and technical reports to determine claim validity and quantum.
- Communicate with insured members, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate repairs and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and issue payment to vendors, insureds, and experts, maintaining accurate records and data integrity.
- Collaborate with the Condominium corporation to ensure effective restoration and repairs, adhering to provincial regulations and unit definitions.
- Participate in coaching and training sessions, actively contributing to the development of work efficiencies and highlighting value-added work.
- Adhere to organizational standards, ensuring quality service and regulatory compliance.
- Post-secondary education and/or college diploma in a related field.
- CIP designation or working towards designation.
- Provincial adjusters license; ability to acquire same.
- 2+ years' experience in property insurance claims handling.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Current Microsoft Office working knowledge.
- Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
