Facility Sanitation Specialist

Position Overview:
The Facility Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and performing essential upkeep of buildings and properties. Reporting directly to the Facilities Supervisor, the individual is expected to execute tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to all Johnson Electric Group's Health & Safety protocols, procedures, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness across all equipment, warehouse, and production areas.
- Initiate procurement of parts, materials, and cleaning supplies in line with company guidelines.
- Handle the mounting, cleaning, and installation of ventilation systems.
- Conduct flooring scraping and cleaning as necessary.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks for utility equipment.
- Coordinate projects effectively and communicate outcomes.
- Work across various job classifications under the guidance of skilled workers or the Facilities Supervisor, receiving general supervision for routine tasks and detailed instructions for new or special assignments.
- Take necessary actions to restore or maintain equipment in a safe and clean operational state.
- Utilize and maintain tools and equipment properly within the work area.
- Participate in the spill response team as required.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Occasional lifting of 35+ lbs.
- Capability to navigate uneven and slippery surfaces.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of confined spaces level 1 operations.
- Training in Working at Heights.
- Certification in Sky Jack, Genie Boom, and Lift truck operations.
Work Environment:
The role is situated within a manufacturing environment, exposing the individual to heat, dust, coolant, and oils.
