Job Title: Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Trust's Estates operational services, assurance, and governance processes to ensure a safe environment is provided and high-quality value for money services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Trust's Estates operational services, assurance, and governance processes
  • Ensure a safe environment is provided and high-quality value for money services are delivered
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the Trust's service objectives and legislative requirements
  • Manage the Trust's Estate grounds and gardens
  • Responsible for the piped medical gas installations
  • Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the team
  • Participate in regular performance appraisal meetings
  • Ensure the team is compliant with all statutory, mandatory training
  • Manage team absences, including sickness, in line with Trust policy
Requirements:
  • Professional engineering or building knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent
  • HTM00 series safe systems of work training
  • Technical courses and Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Managing safety) or equivalent
  • Excellent understanding of the national guidance applicable to NHS Estates and Facilities Management standards
  • Successful completion of Authorized/ and Responsible Person specialist training courses
  • In-depth knowledge of financial budgetary control and cost improvement programs
  • Significant post-qualification experience managing Estates and Facilities assets and services
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Expert knowledge of strategic and service planning
  • Drafting of Committee papers, and report writing at a Senior Management level
