Job Title: Director of Compliance and Ethics

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly motivated Director, Compliance & Ethics to lead and execute on a variety of high-impact and high-visibility compliance programs and initiatives across Loblaw Companies Limited and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive organizational compliance and ethics program.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting compliance programs to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide ongoing expert advice and counsel on compliance and ethics matters, fostering strong business partnerships and ensuring clear communication across all levels.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex legal and policy requirements into easily understandable implementation plans for stakeholders.
  • Utilize data analytics and metrics to measure program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of compliance risk management frameworks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, internal controls, auditing, or risk management, preferably in a regulated industry (retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, telecom, or financial).
  • Strong understanding of anti-bribery, anti-fraud, and data privacy regulations, with experience evaluating the design and effectiveness of processes and controls.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects in complex matrix business and operational environments.
