Service Coordinator I

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Coordinator I to join our team at Extendicare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance departments to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Supervise contractors' work to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, inventory management, and control.
- Maintain departmental policy and procedure manuals.
- Contract tendering in consultation with ECI consultants and Administrator approval.
- Manage quality and quantity of services and products provided by departmental staff.
- Manage departmental safety program, including preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
- Maintain records, statistics, and reports in accordance with ECI and home policies.
- Environmental services certificate in a recognized program.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and/or prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
- Formal training in building maintenance or Operator B Certificate, an asset.
- Health and safety certification, an asset.
