Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Coordinator I to join our team at Extendicare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance departments to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Supervise contractors' work to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, inventory management, and control.
  • Maintain departmental policy and procedure manuals.
  • Contract tendering in consultation with ECI consultants and Administrator approval.
  • Manage quality and quantity of services and products provided by departmental staff.
  • Manage departmental safety program, including preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Maintain records, statistics, and reports in accordance with ECI and home policies.
Requirements
  • Environmental services certificate in a recognized program.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and/or prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
  • Formal training in building maintenance or Operator B Certificate, an asset.
  • Health and safety certification, an asset.
