Radiation Therapy Specialist at Ontario Veterinary College

The Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre is actively looking for a skilled Radiation Therapist to fill a temporary part-time role. The selected individual will be tasked with planning CT and MRI procedures, ensuring quality control on treatment protocols, and executing imaging and therapies as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders is essential, along with the ability to assist in specialized procedures for both companion and large animals.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology (M.R.T. (T)) program
- Registration with appropriate medical radiation technologist associations
- Experience in utilizing radiation therapy equipment and planning systems
- Understanding of the physical and radiobiological impacts of radiation on biological tissues
- Proficiency in hospital information systems and relevant software applications
The ideal candidate will have opportunities for cross-training in various departments within the Health Sciences Centre and must demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings and weekends. A protective rabies titre is a prerequisite for this role.
Compensation: $30.08 per hour
