Radiation Therapy Specialist at Ontario Veterinary College

The Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre is in search of a dedicated Radiation Therapist (RT) for a temporary part-time role. The selected individual will take charge of planning CT and MRI procedures, ensuring the quality of treatment plans, and executing imaging and treatments as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders is essential, along with assisting in specialized procedures for both companion and large animals.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited M.R.T. (T) program
- Current registration with relevant medical radiation technologists associations
- Proven experience with radiation therapy equipment and planning systems
- Understanding of the physical and radiobiological impacts of radiation on tissue
- Competence in utilizing hospital information systems and computer software
The ideal candidate will have opportunities for cross-training in various departments within the Health Sciences Centre and must demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings and weekends. A protective rabies titre is a prerequisite for this role.
Compensation: $30.08 per hour
