Business Development Director

Scotiabank is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our International Wealth Management (IWM) division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing client segment strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve target settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IWM client segment strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Design and continuously evaluate segmentation guidelines for subsegments based on data-driven insights.
  • Track performance of wealth segments and specific initiatives through KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Develop multi-year plans for profitable growth of the client base based on client segmentation and market conditions.
  • Establish and oversee the implementation of the segmentation framework across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or MBA preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of Wealth Management business, including Brokerage, Private Banking, Offshore, and Trust offerings.
  • Advanced knowledge of International Wealth Management industry and understanding of HNW and affluent customers' financial service needs.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset; experience working in Latin America is an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
