Job Title: Associate Dean – Health Sciences

Bow Valley College is a leading institution in the Calgary area, with a strong focus on providing high-quality education and training to students. As an Associate Dean – Health Sciences, you will play a key role in leading the college's health sciences programs and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic leadership to the health sciences department, including developing and implementing academic policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor faculty and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations, including healthcare providers and community groups, to enhance the college's health sciences programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives, including curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • Manage budgets and resources, ensuring that the health sciences department operates within its allocated budget.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Five years' experience in a post-secondary environment, preferably with experience in teaching and academic leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
