Dean of Law Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Dean of Law Faculty at the University of Calgary.
Job Summary:The Dean of Law Faculty will be responsible for leading the Faculty of Law and providing strategic direction to achieve its goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of academic and administrative leadership, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership to the Faculty of Law and develop a vision for its future growth and development.
- Lead and manage a team of faculty members, staff, and students to achieve the Faculty's goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the Faculty's academic programs are of high quality and meet the needs of students and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and alumni.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure the Faculty's financial sustainability.
- Oversee the development and implementation of research initiatives and collaborations with other faculties and institutions.
- Provide leadership and support to faculty members in their research and teaching activities.
- Represent the Faculty of Law at university and external events, and participate in decision-making processes at the university level.
- Ph.D. in Law or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in academic leadership, preferably as a Dean or Associate Dean.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
