About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Administrative Assistant to join our Overdose Outreach team in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Overdose Outreach team, including scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and processing methadone applications.
  • Perform word processing and transcription duties, such as arranging meetings, maintaining statistics, and assisting with research projects.
  • Maintain inventory of program supplies, arrange for maintenance and repairs to the office, and operate office equipment.
  • Orient new and relief team members to administrative policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing team planning and quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 supplemented with an approved Medical Office Assistant/Secretarial program and three (3) years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures, as well as proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work with marginalized people struggling with severe illnesses and chemical dependency, and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others, and to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
