Wood Products Manufacturing Supervisor

San Industries Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the operations of our wood products manufacturing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production of high-quality wood products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to management, highlighting production progress, quality control, and any issues that may arise.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure optimal production levels and minimize downtime.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the safety and efficiency of operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures, to ensure a high-performing team.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Maintenance and Setup: Set up and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Team Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Productivity and Quality Improvement: Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, working closely with the production team to implement changes.
- Work Site Environment: The work site is a noisy and dusty environment.
- Work Term: This is a permanent position.
- Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- Hours of Work: The standard workweek is 32 to 40 hours per week.
