Key Responsibilities- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to management, highlighting production progress, quality control, and any issues that may arise.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure optimal production levels and minimize downtime.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the safety of operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures, to management.
- Procurement and Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain optimal production levels.
- Maintenance and Equipment Setup: Set up and maintain machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Team Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Productivity and Quality Improvement: Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, working closely with management and other departments to implement changes.
- Work Site Conditions: The work site is noisy and dusty, requiring the successful candidate to be able to work in a fast-paced and potentially hazardous environment.
- Team Size: The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of 11-15 people, including labourers in processing, manufacturing, and utilities.
- Work Term: This is a permanent position, offering a stable and secure work environment.
- Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- Work Hours: The successful candidate will be required to work 32 to 40 hours per week, depending on business needs.
