Director of Allied Health Clinical Practice

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Allied Health Clinical Practice to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of allied health services across British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction for allied health services, ensuring alignment with FNHA's vision and goals.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of allied health services, particularly in Indigenous communities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including First Nations communities, healthcare providers, and government agencies, to advance the interests of FNHA and its clients.
- Lead and manage a team of allied health professionals, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving desired outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and policy developments in allied health, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making and improve services.
- Master's degree in a health sciences discipline, preferably allied health, supplemented by at least eight years of recent, related clinical and operational management experience.
- Current practicing registration with an applicable regulatory body.
- Five to ten years of senior leadership experience, with responsibilities for strategic programming in a management-level role, including supervision of allied health leaders and clinicians.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, leadership, or organizations is an asset.
- Knowledge of First Nations cultures and backgrounds, and the understanding of how culture impacts on communication patterns, attitudes, and approaches to health issues.
- Knowledge and application of concepts, principles, and theories of transcultural allied health to provide culturally safe nursing care.
- Knowledge of leading practices in leadership and leadership development.
