Pre-Board Screening Officer - Paladin Airport Security Services
Role Overview:
As a Pre-Board Screening Officer, you will leverage your outstanding customer service abilities to ensure the safety of travelers while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough screenings of passengers and their luggage at airport security checkpoints
- Delivering information with professionalism and integrity
- Verifying valid boarding passes
- Utilizing X-ray machines, metal detectors, and physical search methods to inspect baggage for prohibited items
- Securing restricted areas
- Effectively managing conflicts
- Communicating clearly and efficiently
- Adhering to all regulations with diligence
What You Bring to the Team:
- Exceptional customer service experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment for at least one (1) year
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in French is advantageous
- Ability to meet the medical requirements set by CATSA
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Successful candidates will need to apply for a Transport Security Clearance (TSC), which involves a comprehensive background check. Upon approval, you will be eligible to participate in the Screening Officer Foundations (SOF) course, which is mandatory before commencing your role as a Pre-Board Screening Officer.
