Job Title: Educator Programs Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to lead our educator programs in support of Science World's mission to inspire a love of science and learning in people of all ages.

The Educator Programs Manager will work collaboratively across the organization to support Science World in delivering high-quality programming and resources to BC educators, with a focus on STEAM literacy and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead professional development programs for BC K-12 teachers, including STEAM Days of Summer, inquiry groups, and after-school events.
  • Coordinate the delivery of professional development programs, online and in-person, throughout BC.
  • Develop resources for BC K-12 teachers around multidisciplinary (STEAM) learning, inquiry, coding, and digital skills.
  • Act as a resource to Experiential Learning team members around best practices in pedagogy and teacher engagement.
  • Collaborate in the preparation and execution of an annual plan, including critical annual projects, performance indicators, and priority audiences.
  • Present and participate at key conferences and professional association meetings.
  • Document and evaluate professional development programming.
  • Collect participant data and assess data collection methods to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Certified teacher with a minimum of 2 years classroom experience (or equivalent).
  • Experience with innovative science teaching methods, including inquiry and problem-based learning, critical thinking, and cross-curricular teaching.
  • Experience with coding, digital literacy, and computational thinking is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and team work skills.
  • Professional track record in developing and implementing successful education programs and resources.

Science World offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 to $72,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, and RRSP/TFSA plan matching.
