About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Leader to join our team at Cross Roads Residential Youth Care. As a Recreation Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities for our youth residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and deliver recreational programs that promote physical activity, socialization, and skill-building for our youth residents.
  • Activity Coordination: Coordinate and lead recreational activities, such as sports, games, and arts and crafts, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Client Support: Provide support and guidance to youth residents in developing their recreational skills and interests.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our team to ensure a comprehensive and supportive environment for our youth residents.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all recreational activities are conducted in a safe and healthy manner, and that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent injuries.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years, or equivalent experience
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality recreational services.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Group home
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, 5-10 people
