Job Overview - Admissions Team Leader

This role is vital in enhancing the customer service journey for guests visiting our facility. You will assist in managing the admissions area, ensuring a seamless experience for all patrons, whether they are on-site or reaching out remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and mentor Cashiers, providing ongoing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
- Participate in the recruitment process for new team members.
- Facilitate training sessions for both new hires and existing staff.
- Develop work schedules for Cashiers to align with operational requirements.
- Assign tasks and ensure their timely completion.
- Deliver outstanding service to all customers, whether in person, via phone, or through email.
- Manage cash transactions, including the collection of admission fees and preparation of daily financial reports.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of facility operations and assist guests in finding necessary information.
- Utilize effective communication skills to resolve customer concerns and enhance their experience.
- Ensure accurate processing of transactions, registrations, and bookings in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, documenting any discrepancies.
- Support ticketing operations through relevant software systems.
- Complete administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Lead or assist in various projects and initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.
- Manage inventory records, including lost and found items.
- Ensure the admissions area is prepared for opening and adheres to closing procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school education with a focus on office administration or a relevant certificate from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role or at a comparable level.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of visual merchandising, cash handling, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to communicate in an additional language.
- Experience in a museum, cultural center, or historical site is an asset.
Essential Skills:
- Strong customer service skills and familiarity with various software applications, including point of sale and registration systems.
- Experience in a cash handling environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver effective training.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and inventory management tools.

Employment Conditions:
- Must possess current Standard First Aid, CPR C, and AED certifications.
