About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Percon Excavating Inc. as a key member of our excavation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing excavation sites by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Assist in the operation of heavy equipment, such as backhoes and excavators, under the supervision of experienced operators.
  • Quality Control: Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the excavation team by assisting with tasks such as cleaning and maintaining equipment, and performing routine maintenance work.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
