Construction Trades Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Percon Excavating Inc. The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • Inspect construction of sewer systems and pipelines
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on sewer and water main construction. The work will involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
