Construction Trades Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Percon Excavating Inc. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • Inspect construction of sewer systems and pipelines
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. They will be required to work in sewers and water mains, and will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work in sewers and water mains
  • Ability to read blueprints and determine work requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
