Job Title: User Support Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated User Support Technician to join our team at Joe Apps Technology Support.

Job Summary

The User Support Technician will provide technical assistance and support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, software, and other technology-related issues. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person
  • Research and implement solutions to technical issues, using technical manuals and other resources as needed
  • Collaborate with other technical support analysts to resolve complex issues and improve overall support services
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software to improve user experience and efficiency
  • Supervise other technical support workers in the group, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users, including setup and maintenance of equipment
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to user inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage incidents and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
