Client Service Specialist, Private Banking

The Client Service Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of the Private Banking division by ensuring that specific individual objectives, plans, and initiatives are effectively executed to support the overall goals of the team. This position is responsible for delivering outstanding personal service in all tasks performed to assist the Private Banking team. This includes ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance Client Satisfaction and Loyalty:
- Deliver consistently exceptional client experiences and embody 'Our Service Promise' by excelling in the fundamentals: being Friendly, Willing to Assist, Efficient, and Professional.
- Provide outstanding service and support while employing innovative solutions to address Client and Private Banking Team service challenges, all while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Assist the Private Banking Team with client inquiries and grievances, ensuring that any client complaints are promptly communicated to the team.
- Support Operational Quality and Efficiency:
- Comply with cash, custody, and security protocols, as well as Bank policies at all times.
- Accurately process daily transactions and service requests originating from Salesforce, as initiated by the Private Banking Team and Clients.
- Report any fraudulent activities, unusual occurrences, or issues to your direct supervisor, Team Lead, or relevant compliance officers as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance during service processes, including but not limited to Privacy, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in PC and keyboarding skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with branch systems such as FFT, Intralink, Salesbuilder, Salesforce, Workhub, and ScotiaFX.
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and confidently within assigned authority limits.
- Awareness of client needs and privacy considerations.
- Ensure transactions are executed with a high degree of accuracy while remaining compliant with Bank guidelines.
- Knowledge of Scotia Service and Complaints Resolution Standards and Procedures.
- Fluency in both English and French is required, as the successful candidate will serve an English-speaking clientele.
