Join the City of Kelowna as a Crime Review Officer and contribute to ensuring the integrity of police investigations. As a key member of the Corporate & Protective Services team, you will play a vital role in reviewing and auditing operational files to ensure compliance with legal obligations and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and audit operational police investigative files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and address any issues or deficiencies in the files, providing guidance and feedback to ensure file integrity.
- Collaborate with the RCMP and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal obligations and policy requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of police personnel in quality assurance and file management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with police personnel and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of operational statistical reporting, uniform crime reporting, and RCMP databases.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance.
- A competitive salary range of $72,000 to $84,000.
