Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Production Supervisor to join our team at Insight Plastics Corp. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish, or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Production Activities
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units
    • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of production workers
  • Personnel Management
    • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
    • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare production and other reports
    • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Materials and Equipment Management
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
    • Set up machines and equipment
  • Supervision and Teamwork
    • Supervise 3-4 people
    • Work with plastics processing machine operators
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a noisy environment
    • Perform physically demanding tasks
    • Combine sitting, standing, and walking
  • Personal Qualities
    • Be organized and reliable

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a production supervisory role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
