The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team at BrokerLink. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a prospect list, selling commercial insurance policies, and building strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell commercial insurance policies to new and existing clients
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list through direct solicitation and referrals
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, including visiting client sites
  • Stay up-to-date on market knowledge, products, and pricing issues and opportunities
  • Prepare proposals and arrange for account placement with insurance carriers
  • Maintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices
  • Arrange payment terms for new business sales and collect payments in a timely manner
  • Support clients with the claims process

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and deadlines
  • Able to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • 5-7+ years of industry, sales, and customer service experience
  • Commitment to continual learning, with a CIP, CAIB designation, or working towards completion
