Position Summary

Eriez Flotation Canada Inc., the leading office for flotation services, is on the lookout for a Sales Engineering Manager to enhance our Global Flotation Services Team. This role focuses on cultivating and sustaining a robust aftermarket and services business through the promotion and sale of various products, including components, assemblies, refurbishment packages, inspection and repair services, testing and laboratory services, process support, optimization services, upgrades, modernizations, and service agreements. Additionally, the position involves promoting and continuously refining global aftermarket and services sales practices.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Sales & Services Management
    • Directly engaging with global clients to sell services and aftermarket products.
    • Building and nurturing client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
    • Identifying new sales opportunities through customer interactions, site assessments, and market research.
    • Leading the development of sales cases, including discussions, testing coordination, solution formulation, proposal crafting, and follow-up on active sales opportunities.
    • Engaging with customers at various organizational levels to advance sales opportunities through presentations, value proposition communication, and technical negotiations.
    • Collaborating with Flotation Product Management, Process Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to create valuable solutions for Eriez customers.
    • Providing sales and application development support to Eriez territory offices as needed.
    • Working closely with Eriez Flotation Capital Equipment Sales to identify synergies and ensure timely service introductions to new equipment purchasers.
    • Supporting the development and maintenance of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
    • Assisting with site and laboratory activities from a services and aftermarket perspective when necessary.
  • Functional & Resource Management
    • Overseeing end-to-end sales activities related to services and aftermarket product sales.
    • Leading the development of service and aftermarket sales processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Managing external sales agents and contractors supporting Eriez Flotation Canada.
    • Envisioning long-term growth for the role, including the potential to hire and supervise a team.
    • Training and mentoring resources supporting services and aftermarket sales across Eriez offices globally.
  • Business Development
    • Collaborating with Eriez Management and key stakeholders to develop and maintain detailed budgets, forecasts, and sales projections.
    • Supporting the formulation and execution of sales strategies alongside Flotation Business & Product Management.
    • Creating and managing sales campaigns for Flotation service and aftermarket products.
    • Generating regular reports on service and aftermarket sales activities and progress.
    • Maintaining a detailed multi-year opportunity pipeline to support the flotation business growth strategy.
  • Product Development & Management
    • Assisting in the development and management of services and aftermarket products through collaboration with Flotation Business & Product Management.
    • Researching customer needs and industry trends to evaluate market demand for existing and new products.
    • Working with stakeholders to develop sustainable, value-added products and supporting global product launches.
  • Marketing Support
    • Collaborating with Eriez' Marketing Group to develop marketing strategies and materials for Flotation's services and aftermarket business.
    • Generating and managing marketing content on business media platforms.
    • Supporting the organization of services and aftermarket participation in trade shows and conferences.
    • Creating sales presentations that emphasize Flotation services and aftermarket products.
    • Visiting customer sites and engineering firms to present technologies, products, and services.

Candidate Profile

  • Over 10 years of experience in mineral processing, particularly in concentrator plant processes.
  • 3-5 years of experience with flotation equipment in a production setting.
  • Sales experience is a valuable asset.
  • Resource management experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate safely within mine site environments.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong prioritization skills for competing demands.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of flotation equipment operation and maintenance in production environments.
