Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underground Foreman to join our team at Mainline Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising the installation of deep utilities and services for residential and capital underground projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise work at the assigned jobsite, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct daily field safety and environmental inspections, maintaining records and reporting as required.
  • Verify the accuracy of bills of lading and notify the supervisor of material delivery discrepancies.
  • Ensure materials are available before they are needed to maintain a steady workflow on the jobsite.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for new hires and existing employees.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Safety/Project Supervisor to ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the project.

Requirements:

  • High School education or extensive experience in a related field.
  • Valid Class 5 AB driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Proficient in reading drafts, drawings, and prints.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
