Mainline Construction Ltd. is looking for a skilled Underground Pipeline Installer. Reporting directly to the Foreman, the Installer will play a crucial role in the preparation and installation of subterranean pipelines as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members on general labor tasks during trench excavation and pipe installation.
- Operate independently, executing straightforward assignments related to the pipeline installation process.
- Ensure that the pipeline is adequately supported in granular or native materials prior to backfilling.
- Conduct all operations in a safe and responsible manner.
- Stay informed about advancements in materials and techniques, adapting swiftly to these changes.
- Utilize a range of hand and power tools for underground utilities, along with various heavy construction machinery and both new and reclaimed materials.
- Understand the proper rigging of pipes, manhole sections, etc., and ensure that safe work practices are adhered to during the lowering of materials into excavations.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in underground pipeline installation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to commit to extended hours and weekend work as needed.
- Familiarity with pipeline installation techniques.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Driver's Abstract required).
