Underground Pipeline Installer

Mainline Construction Ltd. is in search of a skilled Pipelayer. Reporting directly to the Foreman, the Pipelayer will play a crucial role in the preparation and installation of subterranean pipelines as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist fellow team members with general labor tasks during trench excavation and pipe installation.
  • Work autonomously on straightforward assignments related to the process of pipe laying, ensuring alignment and grade accuracy.
  • Guarantee that the pipeline is adequately supported in granular or native materials prior to backfilling.
  • Conduct all operations in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Stay informed about updates in materials and techniques, demonstrating adaptability to changes.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power tools for underground utilities, along with various heavy construction machinery and both new and reclaimed materials.
  • Understand proper rigging techniques for pipes, manhole sections, etc., ensuring adherence to safety protocols during material handling into excavations.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in underground pipeline installation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to commit to extended hours and weekend work as necessary.
  • Familiarity with pipeline installation techniques.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license (Driver's Abstract required).
