Job Summary

The Ward Clerk performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties to ensure the efficient operation of the unit. Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing electronic medical records systems to document patient information
  • Ordering laboratory specimens and supplies
  • Coordinating patient transportation and transfers
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Assembling and maintaining accurate patient charts and records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from a recognized office administration program
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems and data entry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high degree of initiative, diligence, and attention to detail
