Job Summary

The Overnight Guest Service Manager is a key role at Deerhurst Resort, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of overnight services and providing exceptional guest experiences. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overnight teams and ensure seamless operations within the resort.
  • Train and develop team members to provide excellent guest service.
  • Coordinate scheduling and labor controls to meet budgeted labor percentages.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests and team members, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Monitor lobby areas and public spaces for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
  • Responsible for cash and float handling, as well as responding to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Act on behalf of the Executive Office to ensure company and resort standards are maintained.
  • Ensure daily audits are balanced and discrepancies are reported to the Controller.
  • Perform switchboard duties, including using multi-line phone systems and radios.

  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Work well in stressful, high-volume work settings to meet deadline demands.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in supervising personnel, including recruitment, training, and motivation.
  • University, college, or hospitality management degree an asset.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Smart Serve Certificate required.
